MARINER HOUSE
Est. Completion Q1 2028
An Exercise in Permanence
Anchored on one of the most celebrated natural harbours in the world, Mariner House is a collection of 64 grand horizontal harbour estates. Each home spans an entire half-floor or full-floor layout, featuring floor-to-ceiling sliding glass apertures that dissolve the boundary between indoors and the shimmering waters of Port Jackson.
Architectural Concept & Form
The architecture draws inspiration from the curved lines of classic racing yachts. Solid blocks of locally quarried Sydney yellowblock sandstone form the earthbound podium, while ultra-slender post-tensioned concrete slabs cantilever outwards to create sheltered deep-shadow verandahs.
Form follows climatic consequence. By treating natural light, prevailing atmospheric currents, and regional materials not as peripheral considerations but as generative structural catalysts, the building achieves an innate sense of belonging.
Environmental & Regenerative Commitments
Passive Cross-Ventilation Design
Dual-aspect layouts capture refreshing easterly harbour breezes, drastically reducing mechanical ventilation needs.
Sandstone Thermal Retention
Quarried on-site and reincorporated into the facade to stabilize diurnal temperature fluctuations.
Solar Micro-Array & Battery Storage
Integrated photovoltaic glass provides localized resilience during grid stress events.
